The Power of a Personalized Slide Deck: Are You Ready for a Digital Sidekick?

Hello speakers.

My first clients ever were people like you. People with a message. People who spend hours of prep crafting talks they believe in. People who travel and know which food is in what terminal, who know about mic checks and bright lights with invisible audiences lurking behind them.

You all take risks.

Because you believe what you have to say matters.

And I applaud you.

As I've worked with speakers, I've noticed a common theme. You all have an interesting relationship with your slide decks. Some of you are on good terms. Others are estranged. Others are waging their own version of the Cold War against their digital nemesis.

Whether you love them. Hate them. Avoid them. Don’t need them. Or get overwhelmed by opening up the PowerPoint application, there is an opportunity before you.

And it’s this: A Digital Sidekick.

That’s what a personalized slide deck feels like - a sidekick.

Here are a few things I’ve noticed shift in my clients when they get a personalized slide deck:

01/ They’re more excited about their message.

02/ They’re more confident – I’ve watched shoulders go back, and a professional confident edge emerge on stage.

03/ They get more audience engagement.

04/ Their messages get a higher retention rate – people ask questions, often referencing specific slides or images.

05/ They feel authentic. A "pretty" slide deck or a "cool" slide deck is not the same thing as a personalized slide deck. Your slides can objectively look good and misrepresent you. (See photo below for an example.)

06/ They describe feeling "more professional" on stage.

07/ They get booked for more speaking engagements.

If you’ve got a keynote, a series of workshops, or a big pitch coming up, I’d love to help you get your digital sidekick on board.
